Joey “Q” Quenga, is an on-air radio personality, media executive, producer, record label executive, cultural practitioner and philanthropist. Early in his professional career, he found success in corporate America, as an executive director in the non-profit sector as well as in the executive bureau in local government for the City of Long Beach, CA. In the entertainment industry, he is best known for hosting one of the longest-running morning radio shows on Dash Radio called the Morning Ride. In 2014, he along with Joe Sav, founded Island Block Radio, the only Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander radio station that broadcasts from Hollywood, CA. Their mission was to provide a much-needed form of ethnic media for the NHPI community. He has transitioned to co-found Island City Media Group, which has a collective of talented hosts covering NHPI events around the world. Island City radio now boasts a worldwide audience of over 5 Million monthly listeners.Q has produced shows and interviewed some of the most influential people in music, politics and entertainment. This list includes R&B icon Shawn Stockman of BoyzIIMen, Senator Isadore Hall, NBA champion Metta World Peace among others. He continues to apply the same drive and entrepreneurial spirit to his philanthropic and community-serving objectives. His company created the Island City Media Scholarship that provides financial support for an NHPI college student with career aspirations in media.
